Historical Masonry Restoration in Toronto
Century homes and heritage facades restored with period-correct brick, lime-based mortars and 500+ restoration projects behind the trowel. Restored, not modernized.

Heritage masonry punishes modern shortcuts.
Toronto's Victorian and Edwardian homes were built with soft brick and lime mortar that breathe and flex together. Repair them with modern Portland cement and hard brick, and the wall starts eating itself: the new material wins every freeze-thaw cycle and the original brick pays for it. Half the heritage damage we restore was caused by a previous repair.
We restore heritage masonry the way it was built: matched reclaimed brick, lime-based mortars mixed to the original strength, joint profiles tooled to the period, and arches, headers and corbelling rebuilt to drawings rather than approximated. The same craft extends to our church and institutional restoration work, and pairs with heritage repointing and stone restoration on mixed facades.
